It clearly took some time for Mike Minor to reacclimate to a starter's workload, but the 30-year-old southpaw has been downright excellent for the Texas Rangers in the second half, sporting a 2.97 ERA across 57.2 frames since the break.
The veteran lefty figures to continue his upswing against a Seattle team that's been punchless against lefties, with a second-half team ISO of .131 on just 28.3% group hard contact.
Don't expect gaudy strikeout totals from Minor, though. Despite the poor power numbers, Seattle has the lowest strikeout rate against lefties in the league since the break. Minor figures to put up zeroes here, though, and he's in a nice spot to log his seventh quality start since the calendar turned to August.
