The Milwaukee Brewers aren't too far behind the Rockies, with a 5.10 implied total in their matchup with Detroit Tigers right-hander Jordan Zimmermann.
Zimmermann has not turned in an encouraging season since 2015. The last three years have seen him notch SIERA's of 4.81, 5.22 and 4.16. His strikeout rate is up and his walk rate is down in 2018, but his 37.6% hard-hit rate is still the second-highest of his career and is paired with a 42.5% fly-ball rate.
His numbers are particularly weak against left-handed hitters, allowing a .335 wOBA and 4.32 xFIP, and that will likely spell trouble against Travis Shaw. Shaw has seen his production held back a bit by his .243 BABIP (compared to a .312 last year and .287 career-average), which comes despite the fact that his 39.5% hard-hit rate is a career-best.
Even sitting on the wrong side of variance on that front, he has shown off elite power against righties. In 447 plate appearances in that split, he is sporting a .378 wOBA and an elite .290 ISO, which comes on a 42.8% hard-hit rate and 48.5% fly-ball rate.
