5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 4/5/19
With a nine-run over/under, tonight's matchup between the Red Sox and Diamondbacks offers value on both sides. Which salary-saving hitters should be in your lineup on Friday?

Hernan Perez, OF, Milwaukee Brewers

Price: $2,100

Another option priced near the bottom, Hernan Perez can be inconsistent, but his production against left-handed pitching is enough to create some fantasy value.

He's made at least 120 plate appearances against southpaws in each of the last three years, turning in a .329 wOBA and .208 ISO in 2016, .334 wOBA and .132 ISO in 2017 and .329 wOBA and .202 ISO in 2018.

Over those three years he boasts a 36.5% hard-hit rate and 41.3% fly-ball rate in the split, suggesting the high-ISO years are what we can expect to see more of in the future.

The lefty he's up against tonight, Chicago's Jose Quintana, gave up a .323 wOBA and 4.42 xFIP on a 34.6% hard-hit rate and 36.4% fly-ball rate to right-handed hitters last season, meaning the upside should be there for Perez on Friday.

Our models have him projected as the third-best point-per-dollar value among hitters on the slate.
