After an up-and-down 2018 campaign, Jose Quintana takes the bump for the Chicago Cubs tonight, and it could be another rough outing for the southpaw.
On the good side, Quintana showcased a solid 12.8% swinging-strike rate in his first turn of the season. The bad news is that he still struggled with his command, posting only a 55.0% first-pitch strike rate, allowing a total of nine baserunners over only four innings.
He also faces a challenging Milwaukee Brewers lineup, in Milwaukee, which is a very friendly hitters' park. He may be able to limit damage to a guy like Christian Yelich, but batters with the platoon advantage could tee off on him.
