3 MLB FanDuel Studs to Target on 4/8/19
There's plenty of fantasy appeal on both sides of tonight's Coors Field matchup. Is Ronald Acuna worth paying way up for?

Charlie Blackmon, OF, Colorado Rockies

Price: $4,000

"Play Charlie Blackmon at home against righties" has been a useful heuristic for a while now.

His production was down some last year, and he's struggled in 2019 so far, but he's still worth targeting tonight, especially with a low price tag relative to what we usually expect for a stud in Coors.

Even in a down year in 2018, he cracked right-handed pitchers for a 37.0% hard-hit rate and 36.1% fly-ball rate. In home games against righties, he turned in a .413 wOBA and .251 ISO, marking his second straight year with a wOBA above .400 in that split.

Braves righty Julio Teheran is coming off back-to-back seasons with a SIERA above 4.60, and the 37.5% hard-hit and 37.5% fly-ball rates he's allowing in 2019 so far don't suggest that he's in for a much better 2019 campaign. He also gave up a 36.5% hard-hit and 41.9% fly-ball rate last year, and giving up hard fly balls in Coors Field is a recipe for disaster, especially against a guy like Blackmon, who has a long history of good contact there.
