5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 4/8/19
Mark Reynolds makes for an inexpensive way to get exposure to the Rockies' high implied total at Coors Field tonight. Which other cost-effective hitters should be in your lineup on Monday?

Raimel Tapia, OF, Colorado Rockies

Price: $2,500

Playing in Coors Field will usually drive up salaries for an entire offense, but FanDuel is giving us some cheap ways to get exposure to the 10.5-run over/under matchup between the Colorado Rockies and Atlanta Braves.

As favorites against the Braves and righty Julio Teheran, the Rockies' 5.41 implied total is a slate-high clip. We project Raimel Tapia to bat second, and really, that's already enough to put him in play at $2,500.

Tapia hasn't given us a big sample to draw from in the majors, but over 191 plate appearances against right-handed pitching, he has not-terrible numbers that include a .317 wOBA and .140 ISO.

That production isn't anything special -- or even "fine" -- but it's also not egregious, and that's all you really need out of him here. If he's hitting in the meat of the lineup for what projects to be the highest-scoring offense on the slate, benefiting from the most hitter-friendly park in the majors and taking on a pitcher that hasn't posted a SIERA better than 4.67 since 2016 -- all combines to create big value for Tapia.
