For DFS'ers, we love targeting platoon splits, especially when a hitter may have a notable advantage in a certain spot. Chicago Cubs slugger Anthony Rizzo certainly has those advantages. In 2018, the first baseman bopped his way to .378 wOBA over 500 plate appearances against right-handed pitching.
Unfortunately for Rizzo, Joe Musgrove takes the mound for the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Cubs opponent, and he's been pretty solid against lefties. In 2018, Musgrove held bats to a 31.6% hard-hit rate and 28.4% fly-ball rate over 223 total batters faced.
It's a small slate without a ton of great options at the C/1B slot, but Rizzo seems like an easy one to pivot away from.
