Jordan Lyles turned heads by striking out 10 Chicago Cubs across six innings last week, chiseling his season ERA down to 0.86 across 11 frames.
Well, to be fair, he didn't turn that many heads, as the Pittsburgh Pirates right-hander remains almost universally available in ESPN leagues.
Sure, his 100% strand rate and small-sample-slanted 28.6% strikeouts are bound to regress, but fantasy owners shouldn't totally fade Lyles. The 28-year-old soft-tosser would be useful in deep leagues even if he matched his 3.22 FIP, and a date with the paper thin Tigers lineup could find him overachieving for one more week.
