Daily Fantasy Baseball: Positive Batted-Ball Regression Candidates for Week 3
Josh Donaldson's batted-ball profile says he's locked in despite his mediocre results. Which other hitters should be ready to bust out in DFS in Week 3?

Franmil Reyes, OF, San Diego Padres

One of the Statcast darlings of 2019 has been San Diego Padres outfielder Franmil Reyes.

The sophomore slugger's 70-grade power has yet to produce standout results, with Reyes slashing a pedestrian .220/.306/.488 across 49 plate appearances. Meanwhile, the his utterly wild .825 xSLG puts him sixth in baseball, behind such luminaries at Mike Trout, Gary Sanchez, Cody Bellinger, Anthony Rendon, and J.D. Martinez.

Point blank -- Reyes' 47.2% fly-ball rate and and 52.8% hard-hit rate simply don't gel with his suppressed 17.6% homer-per-fly mark while his gains in both his walk rate and strikeout rate could spell a looming breakout. The 23-year-old has power that should play in all parks, and his mid-$2,000's price on FanDuel might be as cheap as he gets for some time.
