5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 4/17/19
Justin Bour and the Angels have a strong implied total against Rangers righty Lance Lynn. Can we afford to look past the slugger's early-season struggles on Wednesday night?

Mark Canha, OF, Oakland Athletics

Price: $2,200

Another guy who really gets a boost from the platoon advantage, Mark Canha crushed southpaws for a .390 wOBA on a 41.4% hard-hit rate over 163 plate appearances last season. He's been great to start 2019 too, with a .409 wOBA and 37.5% hard-hit rate, though that's only been on a sample of 37 plate appearances.

It's not exactly an intimidating southpaw he'll clash with tonight either, as the Houston Astros are set to start Wade Miley.

It may have looked on the surface like Miley made big strides last year, improving from a 5.61 ERA in 2017 to a 2.57 in 2018. His SIERA didn't improve nearly as much though, from 5.07 to a still-weak 4.66. He's on a similar track this year, with a 4.70 SIERA through three starts, and he's not a huge threat to slow down Canha's hot start.
