3 MLB FanDuel Studs to Target on 4/18/19
Without any true top-priced pitchers on the slate, should you load up on Coors Field bats on Thursday?

Rhys Hoskins, 1B, Philadelphia Phillies

Price: $4,600

It's nice that we don't have an appealing pitcher up in the $11,000 range tonight because it makes it a lot easier to fit some Coors Field bats in your lineup.

The Philadelphia Phillies have a slate-high 5.56 implied total as they travel to Denver, and Kyle Freeland offers nothing that should scare you away from the best hitter's park in the majors.

Freeland has a 4.38 skill-interactive ERA over four starts this season, which lines right up with his 4.35 from 2018. He's also giving up a worrying 39.1% hard-hit rate to start the year.

Even if we expect that to regress back towards his career average, his platoon splits make this an especially great spot for right-handed bats, with a 4.71 xFIP against righties over his career.

Rhys Hoskins is a righty that makes exactly the kind of contact that you want to see in Coors. Over three seasons in the majors he's got a 37.0% hard-hit rate, which he pairs with a 50.2% fly-ball rate. That's already earned him a hefty .280 ISO, and with the way that fly-balls travel in the thin air in Denver, he's got a really good shot of sending at least one over the fence today.
