A little cheap for a stud play, Ryan Zimmerman's upside on the other side of that Coors Field matchup gives him plenty of studly upside tonight.
He's having a pretty terrible start to 2019, sporting only a .300 wOBA over 69 plate appearances. His batting average on balls in play (BABIP) sits at only .200 though. He posted a .284 last year and has a .309 career-average, so we can expect some serious regression on that front, especially with a fine 35.4% hard-hit rate and 39.6% fly-ball rate in 2019.
The way he tends to hit left-handed pitching positions him especially well at Coors, with a hard-hit rate of at least 43% and a fly-ball rate of at least 37% against lefties in each of the last two seasons.
Colorado's Tyler Anderson hasn't posted a SIERA better than 4.14 since his 2016 rookie season, and he's not much of a threat to limit Zimmerman's ceiling here.
