After taking his talents to the Philadelphia Phillies this offseason, Bryce Harper has mashed in his new environment to help the Phillies to a lead atop the National League East.
But Harper's four home runs and cool .544 slugging percentage could be in for some trouble tonight against southpaw Steven Matz, who has dominated same-sided bats in 2019 for a .234 wOBA and 31.3% strikeout rate.
Ignoring that small sample size, the splits held true in 2018, when Matz limited lefties to a 13.8% hard-hit rate and 16.5% fly-ball rate.
Harper is definitely a stud, but he is likely one to shy away from tonight.
