The white-hot Los Angeles Dodgers roll into Chicago to face the Cubs, and Kenta Maeda mans the hill as they look to keep rolling. Against the veteran right-hander, righty bats like Kris Bryant could be in for a rough night.
Maeda has long been a thorn in the side of same-sided bats. If we peek back to last year, spanning 70 2/3 innings and 283 total batters faced, righty sticks meagerly posted a .266 wOBA and 33.6% strikeout rate in the split.
Maeda may own only a 20.6% strikeout rate this year, but buyer beware -- he's a tough matchup for Bryant and the rest of the Cubbie righties.
