5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 4/24/19
With a juicy matchup against Ervin Santana, is it worth rolling the dice on the struggling Chris Davis?

Chris Davis, 1B, Baltimore Orioles

Price: $2,200

This isn't quite the hitless, $500-priced Chris Davis from earlier this season, but he's still under-priced thanks to some poor luck making the great contact he's making.

He's only got a lowly .219 BABIP, which helps explain his egregious .231 wOBA. He's sporting both the highest hard-hit rate (47.1%) and lowest soft-hit rate (8.8%) of his career though, which he's paired with a 44.1% fly-ball rate. His 91.7 mile-per-hour average exit velocity is his best since 2015.

He's striking out at an incredibly high rate, and he doesn't offer much of a fantasy floor, but contact like that leaves plenty of room for upside, especially with the platoon advantage in this juicy matchup against Santana.
