Price: $2,300
Our second-best projected value, Jose Rondon gets the platoon advantage in a Chicago White Sox lineup that boasts a 4.87 implied total tonight.
The Baltimore Orioles will be starting southpaw John Means, who has a 4.07 xFIP in the majors after posting a 3.89 in his final Triple-A season, and while he's showing some promise, he's not an especially scary matchup. That's especially true with the Orioles' relievers combining for a 5.20 xFIP -- third-worst in the majors -- so far this year.
We've only got a 134 plate appearance sample for Rondon since he joined the White Sox in 2018, but he's shown a capable bat in that time, turning in a .331 wOBA on a 33.3% hard-hit rate. He also looked pretty good at the Triple-A level last year, with a .342 wOBA and stout .246 ISO over 336 plate appearances.
His major league wOBA jumps to .349 with a .237 ISO in a small 63 plate appearance sample against southpaws, and he's a nice cheap way to get exposure to the Chicago offense tonight.
