It's easy to like getting cheap exposure to the Boston Red Sox offense tonight. They're up against Detroit Tigers righty Tyson Ross, who is on pace for his third straight season with a skill-interactive ERA (SIERA) worse than 4.50.
Ross has had an especially tough time with left-handed hitters in those few years, allowing a .347 wOBA and 4.71 xFIP.
Rafael Devers gets the platoon advantage here, and he should be able to take advantage of it. He owns a .320 wOBA and .181 ISO in his young major league career, and against right-handed pitching he's turned a 35.3% hard-hit rate into a particularly solid .199 ISO.
