3 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 5/2/19

Justin Bour, 1B, Los Angeles Angels

Price: $2,700

The other team with a reasonable implied total tonight, the Los Angeles Angels are up against Toronto Blue Jays righty Aaron Sanchez.

Sanchez, despite what his 2.32 ERA may try to convince you of, has not been pitching very well this year. His 20.6% strikeout rate is up slightly from last year's 18.1% mark, but he's also sporting a heinous 15.3% walk rate.

His 5.45 SIERA is also up from last year's 5.10 clip, and thanks to his injury-shortened (and poor) 2017 season, he hasn't finished with a SIERA better than 5.00 since 2016.

Admittedly, Justin Bour isn't having a great year, either, with only a .280 wOBA. Like JBJ, though, he's suffering from a low BABIP, with a .222 BABIP that falls way below his .292 career average. That's despite a 36.8% hard-hit rate.

Having the platoon advantage tends to mean big things for Bour, too, as he's turned in a wOBA of at least .349 and an ISO of at least .221 in the split over each of the last four seasons, with career averages of a .355 wOBA and .226 ISO.
