Rays' set-up man, right-hander Brad Boxberger, is not a household name. But his ability to miss bats and keep hitters off his stuff has made him one of the best strikeout pitchers in the game.
Boxberger recently set the franchise record for strikeouts in a season, he now has 96 in 61.0 innings. According to FanGraphs, his average fastball velocity of 93.1 isn't overwhelming, but when it's coupled with a change-up that averages 79.9 miles per hour and dives down and away from left-handed hitters, it makes a whole lot of them come up with nothing but air.
Boxberger's K% of 41.9% is second-best in baseball and his 14.16 K/9 is third among MLB relievers. His nERD of 1.1 and rWAR of 2.2 are also among the best in baseball and his 1.92 ERA has made him one of baseball's best-kept secrets.
