Miguel Gonzalez was in a battle for a spot in the Orioles rotation, and did more than just win it. He will now get the start in the series finale against Tampa Bay Wednesday -- pretty good deal for not knowing where he'd pitch on the O's, right? The 30-year old won’t miss many bats (111 strikeouts in 2014), but he has been a model of consistency over three seasons in the majors with a career 3.45 ERA in 75 games (69 starts). He earned his only complete game in 2014 at home and had his best start in April against the Rays, pitching five innings and striking out six in a 3-0 win.
