Kyle Lohse has a 7.94 ERA this season. Throw it out the window and add him for his Tuesday start against the Cincinnati Reds, though, which is his second go-round with them in as many starts.
His win against the Reds last week was no fluke, as he has had recent success in home and road starts against them, but the focus here is on the road. His 8-to-1 K/BB ratio at Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati in 2014 was his best in any park. Lohse also averaged 6.2 innings pitched in three starts at Cincy, giving the Brewers and your fantasy team a chance to earn a victory.
The struggling Reds offense has had 15 players face Lohse over their careers, collecting a .233 cumulative batting average while hitting a meager 6 home runs in 279 at-bats. All six homers have come off of different players as well.
Lohse does start twice this week, the second coming Sunday versus the Cubs at Wrigley Field, a much less favorable matchup. Stick to streaming him Tuesday and avoid a potential headache to close out the week.
