Kevin Gausman has experienced his fair share of ups and downs during his sophomore campaign. He has not won a start since August 1, but he has an opportunity to get two this week at home against Boston and on the road at Tampa.

The Red Sox slash line on the road this season is an unimpressive .239/.301/.377. All three stats are sixth or worse in MLB, and their .678 OPS is second worst in the American League. Gausman has had some issues serving up home runs, but Boston’s 36.0 at-bats per home runs should play in his favor. The Red Sox have mustered 176 extra base hits this season, third worst in baseball and worst in the AL.
