4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 5/8/16
Adam Jones has a great matchup against Kendall Graveman and the A's today. Who else should you target for big time fantasy value?

J.D.Martinez, OF, Detroit Tigers

FanDuel Price: $2,800

As of writing, the Detroit Tigers have the highest implied total on the slate as they take on Martin Perez and the Rangers. Perez has a career 4.32 SIERA and has been even worse through six games this season, posting a 5.34 SIERA. He has a strikeout rate of only 13.0 percent against righties over his career, as well as a 4.38 xFIP.

J.D. Martinez, continuing what seems to have become a trend for today's plays, has been producing well below his ability to start the season. But, like the others, he's sporting a BABIP well below his career average (a .274 compared to .331) and an unfavorable home run-to-fly ball ratio (9.7 percent, compared to his career averages of 15.7 percent), despite a solid hard-hit rate (34.5 percent).

He has produced really well against left-handed pitchers over his career, with a .368 wOBA, .230 ISO and 135 wRC+. The struggling Perez provides a great opportunity for Martinez to turn things around and gives us a great chance to get him with big upside for a low price tag.
