4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 5/9/16
A pair of Marlins' lefties are in a great spot against Wily Peralta and the Brewers tonight. Who else should you target for big-time fantasy value?

John Jaso, 1B, Pittsburgh Pirates

FanDuel Price: $3,000

The Pittsburgh Pirates have the fifth-highest implied total on today's slate (and third-highest for non-Coors teams) and have a favorable matchup against Dan Straily and the Reds.

John Jaso has some pretty extreme platoon splits, which keeps his salary fairly low and makes him an interesting option whenever he's up against right-handed pitching. He has a career .353 wOBA and .157 ISO against righties with a 13.6 percent strikeout rate.

Straily, on the other hand, is sporting a 4.45 SIERA on the year (which is in line with his career 4.36) and has allowed a career .330 wOBA to lefties with an ugly 5.23 xFIP.

Pitching at home in the hitter-friendly Great American Ballpark, Straily is going to have a hard time tonight, and Jaso, likely hitting from the leadoff spot, is well-positioned to take advantage of that.
