FanDuel Price: $3,200
Like Josh Donaldson, Troy Tulowitzki has a matchup with Drew Smyly tonight, who has allowed a 50 percent fly ball rate and 4 homers to right-handed hitters in 2016.
I’ll be blunt -- Tulo has been miserable versus lefties in 2016. He’s hit zero home runs ,and amazingly, he’s posted a .000 ISO in 30 at-bats versus lefties. Yes, that’s zero isolated power.
We can’t expect this continue, as Tulo posted a .190 ISO and .386 wOBA against southpaws in 2015. From 2013 to 2014, he enjoyed a .277 ISO split in 231 plate appearances. Hitting lefties has never been a problem for Tulowitzki.
However, many DFS players will see his struggling splits, likely causing him to be low-owned in GPPs. Don’t let a small sample and recency bias cloud your judgment -- Tulowitzki is the top shortstop option tonight.
