Why He Will Go Overlooked:
A month ago, Colby Rasmus in a matchup against a weak righty would be the chalk. Rasmus has cooled off considerably since then, though, and is no longer the hottest item on the market, with the entire Boston outfield red-hot. Mookie Betts and Jackie Bradley will continue to be the chalk at outfield, as will Gregory Polanco, who has been raking and finds himself in another advantageous matchup.
Why You Should Use Him:
Rasmus looks to start another hot streak tonight in a matchup with right-hander Tyler Wilson. Wilson has a career 4.99 SIERA and is projected to give up 4.4 runs against Houston.
Rasmus, a notorious destroyer of right-handed pitching, has lived up to his reputation this season -- launching all eight of his homers against righties. In his career, he has seen huge improvements against righties in all areas -- especially the power department.
It will be hard to pass on the three outfielders mentioned earlier, especially with leftover salary due to the weak pitching options. However, if you are set on fading them, Rasmus is about as high of an upside pivot as you can make. Give him a long look in tournaments tonight.
