5 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Baseball Hitters for 5/26/16
On a day with a surprisingly deep catcher player pool, Matt Wieters may go overlooked. Who else will fly under the radar?

Matt Wieters, C, Baltimore Orioles

FanDuel Price: $3,200

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

With the Royals projected for the second-most runs, Salvador Perez will almost certainly be the chalk at catcher with the way he has been swinging the bat recently. Evan Gattis has enjoyed a power surge in his return to the lineup, too, which may leave Matt Wieters as the third-most popular option at catcher.

Why You Should Use Him:

After a horrendous start to the season, Wieters has been locked in at the plate recently. Over his past five games, he is hitting .522 with 6 extra-base hits, including 2 homers. He has averaged 20.5 FanDuel points during that stretch. It's unlikely he continues his torrid pace, but it's definitely worth paying attention to -- especially at the catcher position.

Wieters and the Orioles are projected to put up 4.2 runs on right-hander Lance McCullers tonight. Wieters has hit better against lefties throughout his career, but four of his past five games during his hot streak have been against right-handed pitching.

It's hard to imagine getting a catcher as hot as Wieters is under-owned, but you very well may be able to tonight. Give him a look in tournaments.
