Going back to the well with another righty against Perez, Jordy Mercer offers some solid value.
As I mentioned, Perez is really struggling this year, posting a 5.02 SIERA, and he has a career 4.39 xFIP and .332 wOBA against righties.
Mercer's numbers aren't very impressive on the surface, but if we look at his platoon splits, he hits lefties very well. He has a career .316/.372/.472 slash against lefties, compared to a .244/.297/.347 against right-handed pitching, while sporting a .366 wOBA and .156 ISO.
The weak overall numbers actually work to our benefit, keeping his salary low in a good matchup.
