5 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Baseball Plays for 6/6/16
On a slate full of appealing first basemen, Eric Hosmer is likely to go overlooked. Who else will fly under the radar tonight?

Jon Jay, OF, San Diego Padres

FanDuel Price: $3,100

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

Jon Jay is almost never a popular daily fantasy option, and that shouldn't change today with the Padres having just the 14th-highest implied team run total.

Why You Should Use Him:

Jay has been hitting everything thrown his way recently, posting a .400 batting average and 34.2 percent hard-hit rate over his last 11 games. He's been especially effective over his last five games, collecting at least one hit and one run in each contest.

Jay will have a chance to keep the hot streak going in tonight's matchup with Williams Perez. Perez's SIERA sits at 4.70 on the season, which is right in line with last season's 4.87. Perez has been hit hard by lefties in his career, posting a 4.98 xFIP against them, along with a 32 percent hard-hit rate.

Jay, a lefty, has hit righties better in his career, raising his hard-hit rate by 6.5 percent. He should be hitting leadoff again tonight and is worth targeting in any format with the way he has been hitting recently.
