FanDuel Price: $3,100
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
Andrew McCutchen has really struggled this season, and Pittsburgh's 4.3 projected run total tonight doesn't scream must-play. With several appealing outfield options available in the Coors game, as well as several Red Sox, Yankees, and Cubs outfielders, it is very unlikely McCutchen is a popular option.
Why You Should Use Him:
A matchup with Michael Wacha might be exactly what McCutchen needs to get on track. While Wacha's season 5.16 ERA jumps off the page, his 9.95 ERA over his past four starts skyrockets off of it.
McCutchen has crushed Wacha in his career, posting a .545 batting average in 22 career at-bats. With the way Wacha has pitched recently, combined with the fact that Pittsburgh ranks sixth in wOBA against right-handed pitching this season, it seems unlikely that he is able to hold the Pirates to the 4.3 runs they're implied for.
If Pittsburgh piles up the runs tonight, McCutchen will likely be a big part of it. At his discounted price tag and low ownership, he makes an excellent tournament option.
