FanDuel Price: $3,900
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
The outfield ownership will likely be pretty spread out today, and it's not likely that Jay Bruce is an overly popular option with Cincinnati's implied team total of 4.1 runs falling right in the middle of the pack.
Why You Should Use Him:
Bruce is enjoying a bounce-back season, currently hitting .271 with 14 homers and 44 RBI. He's been in the zone at the plate, posting the highest hard-hit rate (39.2 percent) of his nine-year career. Since the start of June, he has been especially locked in, posting a 52.9 percent hard-hit rate.
Bruce will look to continue his renaissance season in an appealing matchup against righty Aaron Blair. Blair boasts a 7.13 ERA through eight starts this season, a number that jumps to 11.15 over his past four starts.
Bruce has posted much-superior numbers against righties throughout his career and should have no problem against Blair tonight. He'll likely be hitting in his usual fourth spot, an excellent run-producing spot in Cincy's high-potential offense. Bruce is an excellent play in all formats.
