FanDuel Price: $4,100
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
Jay Bruce continues to rake, but with the Cincinnati Reds having a modest implied team total, he isn't likely to be an overly popular play. The Boston Red Sox, Chicago White Sox, Toronto Blue Jays, St. Louis Cardinals, and Baltimore Orioles all have higher implied team totals than Cincinnati, and they will all likely have some popular outfield plays.
Why You Should Use Him:
Bruce has been red hot over the past two weeks, hitting .300 with a .517 isolated slugging and .817 slugging percentage. What's even more impressive about that stretch is that his numbers aren't inflated by a lucky BABIP. In fact, his .250 BABIP is lower than his career .287 mark. He also has a ridiculous 51 percent hard-hit rate since May 29th, which offers some validity to his recent numbers.
Bruce will look to stay scorching in tonight's matchup against righty Bud Norris. Norris has a 4.69 SIERA this season and has really struggled against lefties, posting a 5.68 xFIP as opposed to a 3.82 against righties.
Bruce has crushed right-handed pitching in his career and should help Cincy reach their 4.2 implied run total tonight. He is an excellent target in all formats.
