5 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Baseball Plays for 6/15/16
Brandon Moss has absolutely crushed the ball recently, but he will likely continue to be underowned tonight with several other appealing first-base options.

Jose Altuve, 2B, Houston Astros

FanDuel Price: $3,800

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

Matt Carpenter, Ian Kinsler, and Dustin Pedroia will likely soak up most of the ownership among top-end second basemen, while both Rougned Odor and Jurickson Profar find themselves in decent spots as value plays. As a result, Jose Altuve is likely to go overlooked again tonight.

Why You Should Use Him:

Altuve had another quiet game last night, but he still has more FanDuel points than any other second baseman. Despite this, he is priced as the fifth-most expensive second baseman.

Altuve and the Houston Astros will matchup with Adam Wainwright, who has pitched better recently but still boasts a 5.21 ERA on the year. Wainwright has actually pitched worse against right-handers this season, posting a 4.44 xFIP as opposed to 4.06 against lefties.

Quite simply, Altuve is the best second baseman in the league, and you can get him at a discounted price tag and ownership against an average pitcher. Some of the names mentioned previously are better cash-game options, but Altuve makes for a very interesting tournament option.
