FanDuel Price: $2,900
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
Similar to Grossman, Nomar Mazara will likely be lost among the outfield options tonight. He is also coming out of a slump in which the most memorable thing he did was lose Colby Lewis' no-hitter. It is unlikely that he is a popular option tonight.
Why You Should Use Him:
After an extended slump at the plate, Mazara has shown signs of life -- hitting safely in three straight, including his 11th homer of the season. He'll get an excellent chance to right the ship in a lefty-righty matchup with Dan Straily tonight.
Straily's 4.57 SIERA this season is pretty much right in line with his pedestrian career 4.40 mark. He has shown signs of improvement this season but took a step back in his last start. Straily was chased from that start in the fifth inning after giving up six runs. In his career, Straily has posted a 5.26 xFIP against lefties, which is much higher than his 3.98 mark against righties.
Mazara isn't a cash game option tonight, but he certainly has some tournament appeal, especially with Texas' 5.1 implied team total.
