4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 6/27/16
Logan Forsythe is in a great spot against Eduardo Rodriguez and the Red Sox tonight. Who else should you target for big-time fantasy value?

Mark Teixeira, 1B, New York Yankees

FanDuel Price: $2,300

Chi Chi Gonzalez is making his first start of the season after an abysmal rookie campaign in 2015 in which he posted a 5.59 SIERA over 14 games, with a 10.7 percent strikeout rate and 11.4 percent walk rate. He hasn't done much to inspire confidence in 2016 either, posting a 5.04 ERA and 15.9 percent strikeout rate in 14 Triple-A games.

Mark Teixeira doesn't look to have a lot left in the tank at this stage of his career, but with such a low price in such a good matchup, he can still make for a strong fantasy value.

Gonzalez's right-handedness is good for Teixeira's upside as well, as he has hit for power better against right-handed pitching over his career, with a higher fly ball rate than he has against lefties, a hard-hit rate is only 1.6 percent lower, and a .249 isolated slugging compared to a .226 against lefties.

The Yankees have a high implied total of 5.02 tonight, and Teixeira is a very cheap way to get some exposure to that offense with nice upside.
