5 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Baseball Plays for 6/28/16
With a slate full of appealing starting pitching options, several pitchers in good spots will go overlooked, including Jose Quintana against the Twins.

Franklin Gutierrez, OF, Seattle Mariners

FanDuel Price: $3,300

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

The Coors game is likely to hog a lot of the outfield ownership, and with Seattle projected for a modest 4.2 runs, Franklin Gutierrez isn't likely to be an overly popular option.

Why You Should Use Him:

Gutierrez hit his ninth homer in his most recent game, and now has four long balls in his last six starts. He'll look to carry his recent success into tonight's righty-lefty matchup against Jonathon Niese.

Niese has really struggled in his last three starts, giving up 17 runs in 16.2 innings, which has raised his season ERA to 4.93. He's also struggled against righties historically, posting a career xFIP .49 points higher against righties than lefties.

Gutierrez has crushed lefties in his career, raising his slugging percentage from .365 against righties to .500 against lefties. He's also nearly doubled his ISO against lefties, while raising his hard-hit rate from 28.2 percent to 37.3 percent against lefties.

Gutierrez is a great bet for cheap production in this matchup, especially if Niese continues to struggle.
