FanDuel Price: $2,500
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
David Ortiz and Albert Pujols will be the chalk at first base today, leaving Tommy Joseph underowned. Joseph will also lose ownership due to the low implied team total for the Phillies.
Why You Should Use Him:
Basically everything written about Franco also applies to rookie slugger Tommy Joseph. The only real difference is that Joseph has been red-hot recently. He has belted 5 home runs in nine games since July 4, posting a .500 batting average and a ridiculous 1.107 slugging percentage and 50 percent hard-hit rate over that span.
Similar to Franco, Joseph has hit much better against lefties in his short career, elevating his slugging percentage from .488 against righties to .714 against lefties.
He is in a great spot tonight and comes at quite the discount to the higher-owned first baseman, making him one of the best tournament plays on the slate.
