FanDuel Price: $3,400
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
As mentioned with Cruz, outfield is deep today. With the Reds projected for the fifth-lowest total while playing at the power-sapping AT&T Park, Jay Bruce likely won't be too popular.
Why You Should Use Him:
As a Jay Bruce truther, this season has been so much fun. The dude just will not stop crushing. AT&T Park is where most power hitters go to die, but apparently Bruce didn't get the memo, instead launching two more homers. He's now homered in three straight games, also collecting 11 RBI during that span. He's hit safely in seven-straight games, with 5 of his 23 homers on the year coming during that stretch.
Despite facing another weak right-handed pitcher in Matt Cain tonight, the Reds are once again expected to struggle offensively within the confines of AT&T.
Fun fact! Among stadiums Bruce has registered at least 20 career at-bats in, his splits at AT&T Park actually rank as the fourth-highest in terms of slugging percentage (.541). So, should we be worried about Bruce in a lefty-righty matchup against a pitcher with a 5.88 ERA just because of AT&T? I'll let you decide that one.
