FanDuel Price: $3,800
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
Scooter Gennett seems a bit overpriced, considering his production this season. With several big names priced cheaper and Ben Zobrist standing out as the top option with the Cubs projected for 5.2 runs, Gennett will likely fly under-the-radar once again tonight.
Why You Should Use Him:
Gennett has multi-hit games in back-to-back contests, and he has hit safely in five straight games. He'll look to remain hot while hitting near the top of the lineup for Milwaukee in a matchup where they're projected to score 4.7 runs, the fourth-most on the slate.
Gennett's opponent today is righty Archie Bradley, who has a 4.44 ERA on the season and has really struggled with left-handers in his career. Bradley's career xFIP jumps from 4.18 against righties to 4.97 against lefties.
Gennett, a lefty, has posted severe splits in his career, almost profiling more as a platoon player. He's nearly cut his strikeout rate (29.2% against righties) in half against lefties (15.7%), raised his slugging percentage by 202 points, doubled his ISO, and raised his wOBA by 130 points.
Gennett is probably a bit overpriced to play in cash games, with Zobrist just $400 more, but he makes an excellent pivot in tournament play.
