4 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Baseball Plays for 8/5/16
Third base is loaded tonight, which should keep Kyle Seager underowned. Who else will fly under-the-radar?

Ervin Santana, P, Minnesota Twins

FanDuel Price: $7,400

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

The three lowest implied team totals come against Jameson Taillon, Jaime Garcia, and Blake Snell, who are also all below $8,000. As a result, Ervin Santana is almost certainly going to go overlooked, especially considering he is facing Snell and thus not favored for the win.

Why You Should Use Him:

After a slow start to the season, Santana has really turned it around, lowering his ERA to 3.66 along the way. Over his past eight starts, he has a 1.96 ERA and 0.95 WHIP and has averaged 34.1 FanDuel points, although his 17 percent strikeout rate certainly leaves something to be desired.

His opponent tonight, the Rays, may be able to help him in that department though. In addition to ranking just 22nd in wOBA against righties, their 24.1 percent strikeout rate against righties is the 4th-highest in the league. Vegas has Tampa Bay projected for just 3.9 runs against Santana.

While the previously mentioned names are safer cash game options, Santana is certainly worth a look in tournament play, where the Rays help to boost his upside.
