FanDuel Price: $3,900
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
Freddie Freeman was the highest-owned first baseman yesterday, and he disappointed, going 0-for-3. Tonight, the Braves are projected for just 4.3 runs against Chase Anderson, with Anthony Rizzo, David Ortiz, and Edwin Encarnacion all having team totals among the top four on the slate. As a result, expect Freeman's ownership to be subdued tonight, even in an appealing matchup.
Why You Should Use Him:
Freeman finds himself in a nice lefty-righty matchup against Chase Anderson, who, despite some better form recently, still possesses a 5.01 ERA on the year. Anderson has also been worse against lefties in his career, posting a 4.32 xFIP against southpaws.
Freeman has hit significantly better across the board against right-handed pitching in his career, and he could put up some big numbers in tonight's matchup. Anderson has pitched well enough recently to eliminate Freeman from cash game consideration, but the upside is definitely there in tournaments.
