FanDuel Price: $4,300
Manny Machado is almost always a good play. He doesn’t really have discernable splits -- mashing to the tune of a .390 wOBA versus southpaws and a .383 wOBA against right-handers -- and he’s in the heart of a Baltimore Orioles’ lineup that ranks in the top five in both ISO (.185) and wOBA (.330).
Machado is certainly an attractive option tonight. The Orioles get a great matchup as they hit the road to face Oakland Athletics’ lefty Ross Detwiler. Baltimore boasts a solid implied total of 4.73 runs, the night’s sixth-best clip, and Machado is our third-ranked stick.
Detwiler has bounced around this season, spending a majority of his time in Triple-A. In 62 2/3 innings with the Cleveland Indians’ Triple-A affiliate, he struggled to a 4.20 FIP while registering a meager 15.4% strikeout rate. This will be Detwiler’s first start with Oakland after twirling 23 1/3 frames with their Triple-A squad.
