The Top Three Pitchers

Lance Lynn – Lynn has allowed just three earned runs in his last three outings, and is looking to close the division up tonight against a Cubs team that ranks 11th in K%. Put him in your daily lineups.

Jose Alvarez – Though it's on the road, he's 1-4 this year and this will only be his 6th start, Alvarez is intriguing against the awful Marlins. Using our nERD scoring, only the Astros are an easier opponent. Cost-efficiency, my friends.

Homer Bailey – Homer hasn't pitched well against the Buccos this year (0-2 with a 3.50 ERA), he does pitch better at home (3.14 ERA) than on the road (3.61). Given his cost on most sites, he's a decent play against the Pirates lineup.

Top High-Priced Hitters

Shin-Soo Choo – Though Choo is batting just .283 over the second half of the season, he's batting a nice .319 in September. He hasn't had much success against A.J. Burnett, he has hit a homer with his 16 at bats. Expect Choo to have a nice night.

Robinson Cano – As long as he keeps hitting the way he does, he should continue to be in your lineup. Even though Cano was held hitless last night, he's still batting a ridiculous .337 in September. Keep him going before the season ends.

Cost-Effective, Mid-Range Hitter

James Loney – Loney has 10 hits in his last six games, including back-to-back three-hit contests. He'll face the home run giver R.A. Dickey tonight.
