The beauty of daily fantasy baseball is that the top targets are different each and every day. Whether it's the right-handed catcher who destroys left-handed pitching or the mid-range hurler facing a depleted lineup, you're not going to find yourself using the same assets time after time.
While this breaks up the monotony, it can make it hard to decide which players are primed to succeed on a given day. We can help bridge that gap.
In addition to our custom optimal lineups, you can check out our batting and pitching heat maps, which show the pieces in the best spot to succeed on that slate. Put on the finishing touches with our games and lineups page to see who's hitting where and what the weather looks like, and you'll have yourself a snazzy looking team to put up some big point totals.
If you need help getting started on that trek, here are some of the top options on the board today. We'll be focusing exclusively on the main slate, which begins at 7:05 p.m. EST and includes the day's final seven games.
Pitchers to Target
High-Priced Pitchers
Zack Greinke ($9.800 on FanDuel): Our projections have Greinke as the slate's top arm by a significant margin, forecasting him for 5.1 more FanDuel points than any other pitcher. Greinke has been dealing this season, racking up a 3.43 SIERA to go with a 27.3% strikeout rate, 5.5% walk rate and 12.6% swinging-strike rate. The San Francisco Giants don't strike out much (19.5% strikeout rate for the season), but they also don't produce much offense, sporting a league-low .296 wOBA in 2017. And this game takes place at AT&T Park, which sits last in home run factor and 23rd in park factor over the last three years. The Giants' 3.42 implied total is a slate-low mark, and on a night with three elite pitchers going, Greinke is the clear-cut top option in cash games.
