Last night, Max Scherzer made our DFS lives easy as a virtual must-play, and he sure didn't disappoint with yet another dominant performance. But Wednesday will require a bit more decision-making, as we have plenty of solid hurlers taking the mound, but no sure-fire number one guy. Luckily, none of these pitchers are super expensive either, giving us more dough to spend on a plethora of top offenses in the Red Sox, Athletics, Rangers, Yankees, Twins, Cardinals, and Angels.

On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.
Pitchers to Target
Shohei Ohtani ($8,600 on FanDuel): Shohei Ohtani has impressed in his debut season, putting up a stellar 3.28 SIERA and 31.3% strikeout rate through eight starts. And, tonight, he gets a Kansas City Royals squad showing a slate-low 3.25 implied team total. Against righties, Kansas City's .304 wOBA isn't intimidating anyone, although they don't exactly hand out punchouts (17.7%), which puts a damper on things. Ohtani also only threw 83 pitches in his last outing, after skipping a start for "workload management," so it's unclear just what kind of leash he'll be on. Still, even without a ceiling game, everything points to Ohtani having a solid performance, and that should be enough to get it done on a slate lacking elite options.
