Friday rolls in with its usual hefty main slate, bringing us equal parts elite pitching and hitting across 14 contests. We'll need to pay a premium for tonight's top arms, but lucky for us there are plenty of value bats to help us along our way. Another hot evening in Arlington puts the Rangers and White Sox high in the hitting conversation, while the Angels and Blue Jays are also in excellent spots.
Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. Whether you're looking for daily projections, the latest starting lineups and weather, or batting and pitching heat maps to find the best matchups -- we've got you covered! And don't forget to take a listen to The Solo Shot podcast with Jim Sannes, who breaks down the MLB daily fantasy slate each day.
On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.
Pitchers to Target
High-Priced Pitchers
Jacob deGrom ($11,700 on FanDuel): Jacob deGrom is enjoying his finest season yet, mowing down the opposition with a 2.88 SIERA, 31.4% strikeout rate, and 6.7% walk rate. (NOTE: deGrom's start has since been pushed back to tomorrow.) Even when hitters are able to make contact, they're rarely doing much with it, as deGrom is allowing a 27.8% hard-hit rate and 24.1% soft-hit rate. He's rattled off eight straight quality starts and has pitched fewer than seven innings just once over that span. On top of it all, deGrom faces the lowly Miami Marlins, who are showing just a 3.08 implied team total at Marlins Park. While nothing is ever truly "safe" in daily fantasy baseball, this is about as close as it comes, making deGrom an excellent choice in cash games.
