High-Priced Pitchers
Luis Severino ($10,300 on FanDuel): Luis Severino has been scuffling since the beginning of July, but he finally got on track last week against the lowly Chicago White Sox (46 FanDuel points) and ought to be able to keep things going versus the New York Mets. Despite the rough stretch, Severino still holds some of the best season-long marks on the slate, with a 3.30 SIERA, 27.7% strikeout rate, and 6.0% walk rate. The Mets are getting a minuscule 3.02 implied team total and have managed a modest 94 wRC+ versus righties this year. The only downside is Severino could have a tougher time getting the win opposite the fantastic Jacob deGrom ($11,200). If rain is an issue in New York, Clayton Kershaw ($10,800) is also worth consideration against the San Francisco Giants, but he remains expensive and isn't racking up the punchouts like he used to (24.2%)
