Justin Verlander ($11,200 on FanDuel): Justin Verlander got his clock cleaned by the Seattle Mariners his last time out, but the road-tripping Colorado Rockies provide him the right opponent to swiftly bounce back. The Rockies own the second-worst wRC+ versus righties this year (78), while also striking out at a 23.2% rate. On the other hand, Verlander continues to push forward in one of the best campaigns of his illustrious career, carrying a fantastic 2.79 SIERA, 33.3% strikeout rate, 4.5% walk rate, and 29.1% hard-hit rate. Colorado is showing a slate-low 2.91 implied team total, and Verlander is the top overall arm on the board.
