We may not have Coors Field on Tuesday's slate, but you wouldn't know it on a night brimming with hot temperatures and high implied team totals. The Los Angeles Dodgers, Boston Red Sox, and New York Yankees lead the way, with all three sporting implied totals hovering around six runs. Max Scherzer profiles as the number-one option on the pitching side, but with all this tantalizing offense at our disposal, will we be able to afford his lofty price tag?

On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.
Pitchers to Target
High-Priced Pitchers
Max Scherzer ($12,000 on FanDuel): Particularly with Jacob deGrom battling some high winds at Wrigley Field, Max Scherzer stands alone at the top of the pitching hierarchy with his usual array of gaudy stats, including a 2.74 SIERA, 34.6% strikeout rate, and 6.4% walk rate. The Philadelphia Phillies pack some punch, holding a top-10 team ISO against righties (.170), but they also dole out punchouts at a 25.1% clip in the split and are showing a lowly 3.43 implied team total. There's every reason to think Scherzer will see plenty of success tonight, and while we normally have little hesitation in paying up at pitcher, the prohibitive salary does make him tougher to stomach on a hitter-heavy slate with viable pitching alternatives.
