FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Monday 9/10/18
With rain threatening a great spot for Jacob deGrom, should we turn to Corey Kluber for Monday's main slate?

Rainy weather in New York could sadly deprive us of Jacob deGrom in a fantastic spot against the Miami Marlins, but there are a few other directions we can go on the mound for Monday's main slate. And on paper, it's not looking like the biggest night for offense, but as you might expect on a Coors Field night, the Colorado Rockies lead the way by a fairly wide margin.

Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. Whether you're looking for daily projections, the latest starting lineups and weather, or batting and pitching heat maps to find the best matchups -- we've got you covered! And don't forget to take a listen to The Solo Shot podcast with Jim Sannes, who breaks down the MLB daily fantasy slate each day.

On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.

Pitchers to Target

High-Priced Pitchers

Corey Kluber ($12,300 on FanDuel): The weather sure doesn't look like it's going to cooperate in New York, but in the unlikely event deGrom is able to go tonight, he's the number one option on the board. However, if that situation remains dicey, Corey Kluber makes for a solid alternative. Kluber hasn't been able to match his Cy Young-winning marks from 2017, but he's still managed a 3.30 SIERA, 25.5% strikeout rate, and 3.8% walk rate that most hurlers would gladly take. Still, the punchouts have been disappointing after putting up a robust 34.1% rate last year. The good news is he's tallied 18 strikeouts over his last 2 starts (13 2/3 innings) -- one of which came against tonight's opponent -- resulting in an eye-popping 38.3% rate. We probably shouldn't go overboard over two outings, but considering the upside Kluber has shown in the past, it's a welcome sign. The Tampa Bay Rays aren't pushovers at the plate, but they're only showing a 3.25 implied total at pitcher-friendly Tropicana Field, and Kluber should be able to get the job done once again.
